DESIGN

(Work in general: preparation for etching and decal printing)

• We can draw up designs or accept yours
• We don't need draughtsman's drawings, hand drawn sketches acceptable
• All dimensions required, leaving nothing to guesswork
• Photographs almost essential
• Avoid information overload such as GA drawings
• We will not interpret GA drawings and photographs into working designs
• Contact us before you send anything to discuss your exact requirement

DECAL printing service

• Printing in all colours, including WHITE and METALLIC GOLD
• ALPS printing technology; not silk screen
• Printing in waterproof wax based inks - NOT inkjet or laser
• "Back of envelope" sketches acceptable
• All dimensions required, leaving nothing to guesswork
• No minimum purchase
• Nominal drawing charges, subject to customer input and conditions
• Decals are on "water type" paper; Waterslide
• No minimum sheet sizes; forget about having to "fill up an A4 sheet"
• We do not work to the "A4, letter size etc., format" for costing
• Order what you realistically require
• Look at samples of our decals both standard and custom

ETCHING

Etching in:

• Brass 12, 16 and 20 thou (0.3, 0.4 and 0.5mm)
• Nickel Silver 10, 15,20 and 25 thou (0.25, 0.375, 0.5 and 0.625mm)
• Brass shim available 2, 4, 5, 8 and 10 thou (0.05, 0.2, 0.125, 0.2 and 0.25mm)
• All above sizes subject to stock
• Other materials and thicknesses as required subject to availability
• Sheet sizes up to 460mm to suit many "0" gauge items or larger
• No minimum sheet sizes; forget about having to "fill up an A4 sheet"
• We do not work to the "A4 or A3 format" for costing
• Order what you realistically require
• Drawings "on the back of an envelope" more than acceptable
• On an experimental basis we are accepting drawings prepared by others; this is as a service and is not the main thrust of our bespoke etching service

CASTING

• All cast items produced for our kits are available separately to assist the scratch builder. A list is available,(click this logo link) and if you see an item you feel you would like to know more about please ask.We will try to give you drawings or dimensions so that you can gauge suitability for your project.
• As a general rule we only offer a metal master production and prototype development service, not large quantity contract casting.
• We DO however, offer short run whitemetal castings runs in one-off shared moulds, from metal masters only

FOR the SCRATCH BUILDER or HOME ETCHER

• Some modellers like to do their own process work
• But they don't have all their own equipment
• We can help with certain processes
• Have your parts cut (etched) out, for you
• Application of photoresist
