PAYMENT METHODS

Please note Steam And Things is located in Australia, and generally when we say $ - dollars we mean Australian $ !

Payment is geared to suit you

We accept the following methods of payment:

1. Credit Card in A$ via ( ) - a 4.5% service charge applies; A$ ONLY
2. Regret we do not normally take PayPal payments for deposits, but this can be negotiated
3. PayPal fees are not returned in the case of a refund
4. e-checks (e-cheques) via PayPal have extended clearance dates
5. UK cheque in Pounds Sterling drawn on UK bank - paid over the counter at our bank by the customer in the UK
6. Australian cheque in Dollars drawn on Australian bank
7. Foreign bank draft / order made out in A$, drawn on an Australian bank and sent to us by mail
8. Direct inter-bank transfer via Internet Banking to either our Australian or UK bank
9. Our prices DO NOT include overseas or Australian bank charges
10. U.S.A. customers (only) can pay for custom etching or decal printing in US$ via PayPal
11. Australian customers only; orders below A$30 regret no cheques; internet transfer, M.O. or PayPal only

We accept / quote in other currencies:

1. Pounds Sterling (£-Sterling) for all products
2. US $ for custom etching and custom decal printing

We do NOT want cash in the form of notes in the mail!

Postal / Transit insurance:

1. Our complete kit prices include local or international (by air) postal charges
2. Accessories and custom jobs have postal charges added /quoted
3. Insurance and or Registration is optional for both local and overseas customers
4. Postage to local (Australian) destinations registered has a limited postal liability of $100
5. Meaning - all goods sent at customer risk, unless insured
6. Overseas insurance starts at A$10 per kit
7. Reductions available for more than one item
8. If you want to take out insurance then there are certain terms and conditions which you should ask about
9. Sea mail reductions available, but then insurance is a must!

General:

1. Payments should be in the name of the proprietors, not Steam And Things
2. Due to the bespoke nature of our business most (if not all) products are made to order
3. Please note, we are a small business; deliveries are quoted with work in progress at the time
4. Delays in payment of more than a few days after agreement and supply of details may result in a change in delivery schedule
5. All orders need to be prepaid, on an order by order basis
6. Standard listed products (kits and accessories) are usually etched to order; generally in a period of under 4 weeks.
7. Custom etching (first order) can take up to 4 weeks; repeat orders usually same.
8. Custom decals / transfers, first orders 1/2 weeks; repeat orders a few days
