PAYMENT METHODS
TERMS of BUSINESS
Payment is geared to suit you
We accept the following methods of payment:
- Credit Card in A$ via

) - a 4.5% service charge applies; A$ ONLY
- Regret we do not normally take PayPal payments for deposits, but this can be negotiated
- PayPal fees are not returned in the case of a refund
- e-checks (e-cheques) via PayPal have extended clearance dates
- UK cheque in Pounds Sterling drawn on UK bank - paid over the counter at our bank by the customer in the UK
- Australian cheque in Dollars drawn on Australian bank
- Foreign bank draft / order made out in A$, drawn on an Australian bank and sent to us by mail
- Direct inter-bank transfer via Internet Banking to either our Australian or UK bank
- Our prices DO NOT include overseas or Australian bank charges
- U.S.A. customers (only) can pay for custom etching or decal printing in US$ via PayPal
- Australian customers only; orders below A$30 regret no cheques; internet transfer, M.O. or PayPal only
We accept / quote in other currencies:
- Pounds Sterling (£-Sterling) for all products
- US $ for custom etching and custom decal printing
We do NOT want cash in the form of notes in the mail!
Postal / Transit insurance:
- Our complete kit prices include local or international (by air) postal charges
- Accessories and custom jobs have postal charges added /quoted
- Insurance and or Registration is optional for both local and overseas customers
- Postage to local (Australian) destinations registered has a limited postal liability of $100
- Meaning - all goods sent at customer risk, unless insured
- Overseas insurance starts at A$10 per kit
- Reductions available for more than one item
- If you want to take out insurance then there are certain terms and conditions which you should ask about
- Sea mail reductions available, but then insurance is a must!
General:
- Payments should be in the name of the proprietors, not Steam And Things
- Due to the bespoke nature of our business most (if not all) products are made to order
- Please note, we are a small business; deliveries are quoted with work in progress at the time
- Delays in payment of more than a few days after agreement and supply of details may result in
a change in delivery schedule
- All orders need to be prepaid, on an order by order basis
- Standard listed products (kits and accessories) are usually etched to order; generally in a period of under 4 weeks.
- Custom etching (first order) can take up to 4 weeks; repeat orders usually same.
- Custom decals / transfers, first orders 1/2 weeks; repeat orders a few days
