KENT & EAST SUSSEX RAILWAY

Pickering Railcar No 16 / No 6

Important ordering information

7mm and 4mm Scales

A modeller's complication arises from the fact that the steam railcar ran with various panel configurations on the sides and ends over the years. Photographic evidence suggest 3 styles for the sides and 2/3 for the ends, though in literature there seems to be mention of only 2 side types. It seems that 1910 followed by 1913 was an important date for body modifications, and literature suggests only one major rebuild, but this is refuted by photographs. The modeller will therefore have to choose which sides / ends are his preference.

It is therefore very important that you check the drawings and descriptions below and order using THE DESIGNATIONS WE HAVE USED, please.

ALSO, we offer decals for both No16 and No6 on the one sheet.

On a separate page we have a selection of photos of the first test build. Click this logo link
